Our Club

The Port Coquitlam Judo Club, established in 1968, is a welcoming and inclusive community dedicated to the practice and promotion of Judo. As a non-profit, volunteer-run organization, we offer a supportive environment for individuals of all ages and skill levels. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced Judoka, our dojo is the place to learn, grow, and excel in Judo. With a rich history of leadership in the Judo community, we continue to inspire athletes from all walks of life to embrace the sport and its values.

Speight Sensei Dojo

Our dojo is dedicated in loving memory of David Elliott Speight, the late founder of the Port Coquitlam Judo Club. For nearly five decades, Dave was a dedicated mentor, guiding and inspiring countless Judokas who passed through our dojo. His passion for Judo and his commitment to the growth of the sport left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of training under him. His legacy lives on through the values, discipline, and respect he instilled in our community. We are forever grateful for his contributions and the impact he had on the lives of so many.
