Port Coquitlam Judo Club

“Our workouts are pretty intense. And we do judo in just a traditional style – simple. It’s mostly just hard work” – Dave Speight, Former Head Sensei and Founder of PoCo Judo

Speight Sensei Dojo

Our dojo is dedicated in loving memory of David Elliott Speight, the late founder of the Port Coquitlam Judo Club. For nearly five decades, Dave was a dedicated mentor, guiding and inspiring countless Judokas who passed through our dojo. His passion for Judo and his commitment to the growth of the sport left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of training under him. His legacy lives on through the values, discipline, and respect he instilled in our community. We are forever grateful for his contributions and the impact he had on the lives of so many.
